Best Christmas Lights in the USA

The holiday season is in full swing and that means festive décor is covering our homes, Airstreams and neighborhoods. The thing we love most about the holiday season is the bright and colorful lights that liven up the night! There are tons of great places around the country that get into the holiday spirit, so we at Airstream wanted to share with you our favorite places to take in the twinkling lights this season!

Trail of Lights in Austin, Texas: Head on over to the Lone Star State to take in the beauty of Zilker Park all dressed up for the holidays. Trail of Lights is celebrating 50 years of holiday fun this year! Take a tour of this gorgeous park filled with festive lighted canopies, a huge Christmas tree and more!

Tacky Lights Tour in Richmond, Virginia: This fun tradition started as a radio host’s attempt to find the wackiest light displays in Richmond and has now evolved into a “Battle of the Bulbs” for the entire area! Richmond locals dress up their homes in crazy ways for the holidays, compete with each other for the best decorations, and then invite the public to go on a tour of Richmond to look at the best decorated homes!

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in New York City: The gigantic tree standing tall in Rockefeller Center is a landmark of Christmas cheer for people around the world. Five miles of wire and 45,000 multi-colored LED lights are required to illuminate the entire Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. While in New York, be sure to catch a show of the Rockettes in the Radio Center Christmas Spectacular and go ice skating in the rink at Rockefeller Center.

Lights Under Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky: Be sure to visit the world’s only underground light show this holiday season! In Louisville you can take in the beauty of a man-made cave glowing with a million lights. Visitors can drive through a 100-acre cavern that was once a limestone quarry and now sits under 10-lane Interstate 264.
