Airstream’s mid-Model Year 2026 improvements enhance comfort, elevate convenience and safety, expand power and performance, and level up the experience across our entire lineup of travel trailers.

Airstream is always innovating and always improving, following Airstream Founder Wally Byam’s directive to only make improvements to our products, and never make changes simply for the sake of change. Mid-way through Model Year 2026, we’re raising the bar with a brand new model line and the expansion of our most power-forward model line, as well as improved storage, fresh configurations, redesigned skylights, and more across many of our travel trailers. Whether you’re chasing sunsets, stargazing past bedtime, camping off-grid, or cooking a gourmet meal, these updates deliver even more ease, confidence, and capability to every journey.

Every Airstreamer travels differently, but they share a common passion: modern, tasteful design paired with luxurious, adventure-ready experiences. Thoughtful interior and exterior upgrades enhance comfort, functionality, and style, so you get more out of every mile and every moment along the way.

World Traveler Joins Airstream’s Travel Trailer Fleet

World Traveler 22RB reimagines what it means to roam freely, blending traditional Airstream design with a lightweight, easy‑to‑tow 22‑foot build. It delivers all the iconic Airstream design and craftsmanship while inviting spontaneous getaways, scenic detours, and a simpler, more intentional way to explore. With a Base Weight of 3,700 pounds and a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of just 4,500 pounds fully loaded, World Traveler can be towed by many light duty trucks and SUVs – maybe even the vehicle you already have in your driveway. If you’ve been dreaming of Airstreaming, World Traveler may be the perfect way for you to experience the magic of hitting the road with an Airstream in tow.Airstream World Traveler Travel Trailer in tow behind a Jeep Grand Cherokee suvWorld Traveler 22RB’s streamlined floor plan balances efficiency and comfort with a unique rear V‑Twin sleeping area and an adaptable front dinette that quickly converts to deep-seated sofa or secondary sleeping area. Its Scandinavian-inspired interior décor delivers a minimalist look you can put your own spin on, with white painted aluminum walls, light and airy surfaces, and an efficient bathroom with separate shower and toilet areas.

The dual‑pane windows in World Traveler add another unique feature not available elsewhere in Airstream’s travel trailer lineup. Dual-pane windows feature versatile screens that slide open for fresh air and views, or separate to open completely. Pull down the screen to keep the bugs at bay, or pull up blackout blinds for privacy. Airstream World Traveler Dual Pan Window Screen being pulled down by Marc from Keep Your DaydreamInspired by Airstream’s globally proven World Traveler platform, this model is engineered for effortless towing and confident handling. A lightweight structure and narrow width make maneuvering easy, while thoughtful design delivers comfort and functionality ideal for mid‑sized SUVs and crossovers. Its exterior retains Airstream’s iconic riveted aluminum silhouette that incorporates a vintage style by relocating the customary rooftop-mounted air conditioner to an interior space below the curbside bed.

With World Traveler, versatile storage and convertible seating maximize every inch, seamlessly shifting from dining to lounging to sleep. Every detail is crafted to support modern travel, offering space to relax, work, and unwind.Marc and Tricia, Keep Your Daydream, relaxing on chairs outside the Airstream World Traveler Travel Trailer

New Design Improvement Lets You Open Windows Easier

All travel trailers (minus Bambi and World Traveler) see an innovative new Window Position Arm in 2026. The dual-finger injection-molded handle allows for easier opening of windows, which means effortless access to scenic backdrops while you unwind from the day, and more of that cross-trailer air flow that we love so much.

Basecamp Updates to a Custom Molded Plastic LP Cover with Top Shelf and Side Storage

Part of why Airstreamers love Basecamp is its simplicity and ease. In the mid-Model Year update, Basecamp 16X and Basecamp 20X get a major improvement with simplicity of use in mind. Both floor plans now have new propane shrouds that include access doors on both sides. These models will continue to feature 2 Liquid Propane (LP) bottles. This update makes it easier to access propane and also eliminates the need to lift bottles out of the top when replacing them. It also comes with a top shelf for holding cords and tools, making it easier to get back to big adventures, cooking great meals, and relaxing with friends and views. Flying Cloud Retires Midnight Flamingo From Production

Now’s the time to snag the ever‑cool Midnight Flamingo Upgrade Package – available on Flying Cloud 25FB and 27FB models – before it’s officially retired. Introduced in early 2025, this complete upgrade package transforms Airstream’s iconic rounded exterior with blackout accents inside and out, creating a bold, monochromatic look inspired by automotive blackout styling. Airstream Flying Cloud Midnight Flamingo in tow behind a RAM truckBut Midnight Flamingo isn’t just about style. As more Airstreamers embrace off‑grid travel, Midnight Flamingo adds capability as well. A factory‑installed 3‑inch lift kit boosts ground clearance for rougher terrain, while a powerful 200 Ah lithium battery bank and 300 Watts of roof‑mounted solar keep you powered far from the crowds.

Globetrotter and Classic Receive New Glass Skylight

Globetrotter and Classic models receive glass skylights for 2026, joining the Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer and the Frank Lloyd Wright Limited Edition Travel Trailer. With crystal clear views, these new windows replace the acrylic domes that were previously used.  Airstream Stetson + 6666s Travel Trailer SkylightThink even better Milky Way gazing and afternoon light. The glass skylights are sturdy, efficient, and easy to take care of.

New Lounge and Configuration Options for Multiple Trailers

Flying Cloud 23FB and International 23FB introduce a new option for the lounge area that replaces the dinette with a sofa for even easier relaxing and recovering. On both ends of the sofa, two removable tables on articulated arms allow you to enjoy a quick meal while relaxing.

And finally, twin bed configurations for Flying Cloud, International, Trade Wind, and Globetrotter, all see a change in below bed storage. Now, instead of hinged doors with room for a  storage bin or totes, there will be sturdy pull-out drawers, sure to keep all of your bedroom necessities organized and out of the way.

These updates allow for ease of navigating the interior, as well as peace of mind when it comes to order and storage.

Note: The below-bed drawer and new window hardware updates were introduced in the Frank Lloyd Wright Limited Edition and Stetson+6666 Travel Trailers.
