Model Year 2026 Atlas models – the new Atlas 25RT with Rear Twin beds and the newly redubbed Atlas 25MS with a Murphy Suite slide out – have an incredible optional Ultra Premium Paint upgrade in two distinct color palettes. Hightech Silver Metallic features a lighter gray color scheme, while Tenorite Grey Metallic comes in darker exterior colors.
In developing the new optional Ultra Premium Paint upgrade packages, Airstream’s creative team dipped into the history that has made Airstream one of America’s most enduring brands. Inspired by the aerodynamic shape of Airstream’s riveted aluminum travel trailers, the team incorporated the form of that graceful silhouette into the exterior paint scheme. Like all great design, it’s subtle at first. But once you see it, it’s impossible to miss it.
Style in Focus: Atlas Ultra Premium Paint Upgrades
Rooted in classic automotive technique, the team leaned into Airstream's historic DNA to bridge the gap between these luxurious Mercedes-Benz® vans and the iconic Airstream shape.
Taking the three pure lines of the Airstream travel trailer – the arcing top of the trailer, the lower line of the chassis and wheels, and the center beltline – they created a paint scheme that incorporates that same aerodynamic shape on the side of the Atlas coach. Contrasting colors frame the trailer silhouette above and below, while a distinct center line arcs across the horizontal and mimics both the Airstream beltline and the horizon. The darker, upper section of the paint features wrap around the driver and passenger windows in a way that blends them into the overall visual scheme. The lower section of color wraps up over the hood, bringing the whole package together. 
On the Atlas rear, the dark color wraps around the upper section to mimic the look of an Airstream trailer’s rear panoramic windows. Chrome elements were reduced, giving this optional paint scheme a sleek, modern look while preserving the shiny wheel rims that further reference Airstream's aluminum pedigree. And the Airstream logo is centered above the windshield in another nod to the visual look of the trailers. 
Darker rooftop elements (like the air conditioner and rooftop vents) further push the style to the forefront as those protruding elements blend into the design and take up less of the visual volume. The silhouette inset into the side panel of the Atlas van helps to soften the right angles and create a sense of forward momentum.
The result is an Atlas van that’s sleeker than ever, with echoes of the rounded curves that have inspired generations of travelers to hit the road.
Airstream's Flagship Touring Coach: Luxurious, Expansive, and Ready to Roam
Atlas is built for explorers who demand comfort and flexibility. With these optional Ultra Premium Paint upgrades, its exterior delivers styling far exceeding what’s found on most motorized recreational vehicles. But the core of Atlas is still a powerful travel van with expert Airstream craftsmanship and handmade construction.
Built on the Mercedes-Benz® 4500 Sprinter cab chassis (which arrives at Airstream's manufacturing facility as just a cab and chassis frame), Atlas walls and ceiling are handcrafted in-house and then finished with fiberglass work that seals seams for a unified body. Then, fifteen coats of cut-and-buff paint are applied to create a sleek, distinctly automotive feel. 
Atlas Interiors: Two Floor Plans for Travel Options
Atlas is now available with two floor plans offering different options catered to your travel style. And both are available with the standard exterior paint scheme or the upgraded Ultra Premium Paint options.
Atlas 25RT
The newest Atlas model expanded the core line in Model Year 2026 with a Rear Twin floor plan and a unique interior that maximizes the space. Two twin beds in the rear straddle the center aisle with ample storage compartments underneath and a central nightstand that opens down into the rear passthrough garage storage below. 
That rear passthrough garage is one of the Atlas 25RT’s most innovative storage components, allowing access from both sides on the exterior (as well as from the interior). The entire compartment stretches across the back of the van from side to side, allowing you to store golf clubs, luggage, and anything you need for the road ahead. Two additional storage compartments on the streetside allow for even more storage.
Up front, a two-piece bathroom puts the shower on the curbside and the toilet/sink area on the streetside. Further forward, a spacious galley utilizes a portable induction burner that can stow away in the cabinet for more counterspace. Overhead roof lockers and a convection microwave complete the package, while a swiveling driver’s seat turns toward a short lounge seat and a table for meals, cards, or cocktails. And a powerful Garmin multiplex control panel provides touchscreen monitoring and control of many interior functions. Altogether, the Atlas 25RT is the perfect travel van for luxurious living on the road.
Atlas 25MS
The original Atlas design – debuted in 2017 – has been redubbed Atlas 25MS with the addition of the 25RT to the lineup. Atlas 25MS features an expansive interior with a Murphy Suite slide out that transforms the couch into a large sleeping space. The entire rear section of Atlas 25MS is dedicated to a three-piece bathroom with separate shower, vanity, and toilet. A cedar-lined closet provides plenty of room for hanging storage and drawers for folded clothes. And in the living space, the couch is placed directly across from a wall cabinet that hides a pop-up flatscreen TV. Multiplex controls provide touchscreen monitoring and control of many functions.
