Famed travel influencers, Marc and Tricia of Keep Your Daydreamabsolutely love their Globetrotter 30RB. But after spending quite a bit of time in the all-new Airstream World Traveler 22RBthey’re quick to admit that a nimbler trailer and the ability to tow with an SUV offers quite a few perks.

Marc and Tricia Leach have been on the road traveling for a decade, and in that time they’ve learned just about everything there is to know about life on the go. While they’re most at home in their beloved Airstream Globetrotter 30RB, they jumped at the chance to switch things up and spend some miles in the sleeker, more compact World Traveler 22RB

In the early days of 2026, they spent several weeks exploring Florida, with stops in Tampa and St. Petersburg before heading even farther south to Biscayne National Park. And they did it all in the World Traveler 22RB, which they towed with their own 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7 Hemi.

And if you know their popular YouTube channel Keep Your Daydream, you know Marc and Tricia made the most of every moment—lingering at hidden gems along the way and, of course, cooking up some incredible meals.

Start Small Start Now: Start Airstreaming

Marc and Tricia have learned that, for many first‑time travel‑trailer shoppers, not having to buy a large tow vehicle is a major relief.

“If you get a big truck, eventually you get very comfortable driving a big truck,” Marc explained. “But if you don’t have to do that—and you can just use your everyday car—it becomes far less intimidating for a lot of people.”

“Our message from the beginning has been, start small, start now,” Tricia said. “Towing with what you currently have is a great way of doing it.”

Marc and Tricia have made several YouTube videos that talk at length about how to make sure your SUV is equipped for towing, and offer expert advice about what to consider before hooking up and hitting the road with your SUV.

Another phrase that Marc and Tricia repeat is, “Slow is pro.”

“When you’re driving your SUV to work or an appointment, you might frequently feel stressed," said Marc. "So, you need to mentally switch gears when you’re towing with that same vehicle. Remind yourself that this doesn’t have to be hurried.”

Marc said he often does a mental switching of gears. “I switch the car into tow-haul mode, and I switch my brain into tow-haul mode too.” That allows him to literally go a little slower, not feel the need to rush, and not get upset at a red light or a detour. “I’m driving with a different purpose,” Marc said, “and that allows me to enjoy things a lot more.”

Sometimes if Marc and Tricia are feeling hurried or stressed, they push their travel day back. “If we’re trying to leave after work on Thursday and we’re running around trying to pack the trailer, getting stressed, we just stop,” Marc said. “We slow down, pack intentionally, and leave Friday morning instead.” Marc and Tricia like to remind people that traveling with an Airstream gives you permission to do it the way you want.

A Nimble Trailer Means More Freedom

When you’re towing a single-axle Airstream like the World Traveler and your vehicle is an SUV, your opportunities are endless. Not only is getting around and parking easy, when you unhitch your trailer it's easy to run errands and explore just like you normally would without the trailer.

“When we see a farmers market on the side of the road, it’s so easy to just stop or make a U-turn,” Tricia said. “That’s the essence of what we love to do. It’s certainly possible with a bigger vehicle and larger trailer, but it’s more of a maneuver.”

For Tricia, the World Traveler is a great introduction to being on the road. “For people who have never experienced RVing or being out on your own terms, this is a great size because you can probably store it close to your house," she said. "You can go at a moment’s notice, you can make unexpected stops and alter your plans. It’s very flexible.”

“But the best part about Airstream’s World Traveler is that it's streamlined,” Tricia said. “So you have what you need, and nothing that you don’t.” That takes a lot of the clutter out of traveling. There’s plenty of storage for everything you need, but you’re not tempted to bring tons of stuff you know you won’t use.

World Traveler Shines

Marc and Tricia especially enjoyed their time in the World Traveler 22RB because there was a place for everything, and they didn’t have to skimp on any of their favorite travel traditions. Tricia was able to cook some of her favorite meals, with her famous spices close at hand in the spice rack, and they were able to enjoy those meals both inside at the dinette and outdoors under the Zip-Dee awning.

They had plenty of room to relax and unwind after seeing the sites both in the urban atmosphere, and in the more remote areas in the Florida Keys.

Marc and Tricia especially loved the windows in the World Traveler, which allowed Tricia to pass food to Marc from the kitchen as he set up for dinner. They also loved the integrated bug screen up top, and integrated night shade from the bottom. Sleeping was extra comfortable when they pulled the integrated curtains for the perfect amount of air flow and privacy.

More than anything, though, Marc and Tricia loved the freedom that came with this setup. “Towing the World Traveler with our Jeep was so fun because once we left the trailer at camp," Marc said, "it was so nice to have a car that you can parallel park downtown.”

If you’re ready to explore trailers that can be towed with an SUV, the World Traveler might be the perfect fit. This trailer’s streamlined floor plan balances efficiency with comfort through a rear V-shape twin sleeping area and an adaptable front dinette and lounge space. Every detail is thoughtfully considered to support modern travel with room to relax, work, and unwind.
