Every travel trailer in the Airstream family is affected in Model Year 2026’s exciting improvements. To name a few: A new bathroom window in all 25FB and 27FB floor plans welcomes even more light into the interior of Globetrotter, International, Flying Cloud, and Trade Wind Travel Trailers. New A/C vents on all ducted units across the lineup increase air flow throughout the trailer and can be closed individually for maximum comfort. And for Bambi through Classic travel trailers, better back-up cameras improve the parking and backing up experience.

Airstream Travel Trailer Updates for Model Year 2026
Introducing The Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian Limited Edition Travel Trailer
The most exciting part of Model Year 2026 is Airstream’s newest Limited Edition travel trailer. The Airstream Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian Limited Edition Travel Trailer is unlike any Airstream in company history while remaining undeniably true to the iconic craftsmanship and quality this almost 95-year-old company delivers. This Limited Edition’s iconic, rounded, riveted aluminum shell exterior is home to a stunning interior inspired by the work of unparalleled American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. With a 28-foot floor plan, it blends Airstream’s handmade craftsmanship and Wright’s distinct and intrinsic touchstones: organic architecture, convertible design, and convenient luxuries. Airstream’s nation-wide dealer network is taking orders for this Limited Edition Airstream now, and only 200 will be produced over the next two years.
Basecamp’s X-Package is Now Standard
Previously available as an optional upgrade, Basecamp’s popular X-Package is now standard on Model Year 2026 Basecamp 16X and Basecamp 20X Travel Trailers. Goodyear® all-terrain tires, stylized aluminum wheels, a 3″ lift kit, and a raised hitch jack foot pad provide more ground clearance for those irresistible offroad paths. Stainless steel rock guards and a solar window guard protect the exterior from loose debris kicked up during your rugged excursions. Every 2026 Basecamp is prepped and ready for wherever you want to go.
Better Back-up Camera Enhances Experience With Sleeker Look
Airstream’s Bambi, Caravel, Flying Cloud, International, Trade Wind, Globetrotter, and Classic Travel Trailers all receive improved back-up cameras for an enhanced backup and parking experience. The camera also moves below the rear awning for a sleeker look and additional protection from overhead brush.
Use Appliances and Charge Your Batteries with a More Powerful Converter
A new 80A converter comes to 50A service dual A/C floorplans of Airstream’s Flying Cloud, International, Globetrotter, and Classic Travel Trailers models, adding 20 more amps of power from previous generations.
While owners may not immediately notice the effect of this upgrade, it provides more power for charging while hooked up to shore power and simultaneously using 12V appliances.
Fully Control Air Flow with New A/C Vents
All Airstream models with ducted air conditioning systems (all Airstream travel trailers minus Basecamp and Bambi) receive new interior A/C vents, increasing air flow for maximum efficiency. The vent’s air flow direction can be manually adjusted or the flow can be closed completely for customized comfort throughout the interior.
New Bathroom Window Increases Interior Natural Light
All 25FB and 27FB floorplans (including Globetrotter, International, Flying Cloud, and Trade Wind) now have a window in the bathroom, allowing bright, natural light to flow in when you want it. To maintain privacy, just pull down the convenient roller shade.

Globetrotter and Classic Receive New Security Camera
All Globetrotter and Classic floorplans receive a new security camera built into the main door light fixture that transmits the image to a wireless monitor. This upgrade adds an additional layer of safety, security, and peace of mind in your home away from home.
Classic’s Sofa Redesign Adds Flexibility and Comfort
Classic’s 28RB and 30RB floorplans boast a 2026 sofa redesign that adds a dual motor for smooth operation and relocates the switch for a cleaner look.
The new sofa redesign also offers weary travelers a true lay flat bed configuration that affords more sleeping space for guests.
Trade Wind’s GVWR increases by 200 pounds
On the Trade Wind’s 23FB floorplan, the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) increases by 200 pounds for Model Year 2026, from 6,300 pounds in previous years to 6,500 pounds. This means Trade Wind owners can safely carry more weight, including gear, food, water, and other road trip essentials. Travelers can take advantage of this increased flexibility in packing the camper without compromising safety or putting excessive strain on the travel trailer’s components. Note: Always tow within recommended weight limits.
Retiring Models and Floorplans
Basecamp REI Co-Op Special Edition and Pottery Barn Travel Trailers are retiring from production (though models are still available from select Airstream dealers). In the Flying Cloud lineup, the 30FB Office floor plan is also retiring.
