Writer at Large

Perhaps the best part about being an author and living in an Airstream is that everywhere I go on my book tour, I get to talk about my special living space. It's a 1970 Airstream Sovereign, purchased for a song and re-done by my dad and I over the course of a year and a half. Although I still travel often for my book, my Airstream is my permanent home and she's up on blocks these days. Or perhaps better stated, as we say in North Carolina, "Shoot the tires 'n' let 'er sit." It makes for a great home on my 5 acres in the Black Mountains, bordering the Pisgah National Forest at about 3100 feet elevation.
