Alumapalooza 5

The week following Memorial Day is a big time for the village of Jackson Center, Ohio—it’s the week of Alumapalooza! The five-day event, held this year from May 27 to June 1, took place at the Airstream factory and brought along with it about 200 Airstream trailers and plenty of #LiveRiveted excitement and fun.

Alumapalooza is put on by Alumaevents, a company that took the idea of an Airstream rally and made it even bigger. According to the Alumapalooza website, the event “combines all the camaraderie of a rally with the educational benefit of a seminar (and the entertainment of a festival).” It gives attendees a chance to learn from fellow Airstreamers as well as Airstream experts and employees. In addition to the entertainment and events planned by Alumaevents, Alumapalooza attendees also had the chance to experience the Airstream factory and service center in person!

The program of Alumapalooza 5 was packed full of events and activities that everyone could enjoy. Instructive and engaging seminars and presentations educated attendees on things from new Airstream products to Dutch oven cooking. There were also product feedback sessions where Airstreamers discussed their opinions, suggestions and questions with Airstream associates.

Fun events like yoga, happy hours, live performances, door prize giveaways, a riveting contest, the famous Backup Derby and more entertained attendees throughout the week of Alumapalooza. There were even special events just for children or dogs—there was truly something for everyone!

If you missed Alumapalooza 5, there’s always next year! Keep up with news about Alumapalooza 6 on the Facebook page or the website.  We had so much fun this year, and we can’t wait for everyone to head back to Jackson Center in 2015!
