Airstreamer's Guide to Good Food

Ever find yourself on the road looking for a great place to eat but having a hard time deciding where to stop? Fast food is certainly convenient, but we prefer something a bit more local and unique. That's what we touched based with Roadtrippers to get some tips for great food on the road. Airstreamers certainly will appreciate this collection of great quick and easy stops for a delicious meal.

Here are a few to whet your palate:

  • AQ Chicken House (Springdale, Arkansas): Originally opened in 1947, this chicken house has been serving "Arkansas Quality" southern style chicken for over 65 years to travelers. The original owner and founder wanted to show roadtrippers that they could find top notch southern chicken in the heart of the Ozarks, and he proved that to be true!
  • Hudson's Smokehouse (Lexington, South Carolina): Barbeque, ribs, family and fellowship: that's what you'll find at Hudson's Smokehouse. Not to mention being featured on Turner South's "Blue Ribbon Award Show" as one of the top BBQ joints in the south. This is one stop you don't want to miss on your travels.
  • Tom & Joe's Restaurant (Altoona, Pennsylvania): Looking for a local institution serving up a fun and energetic diner atmosphere? Look no further than Tom & Joe's, an Altoona stable for over 75 years. You'll find not only fabulous food, but will get to take a trip down memory lane through photos from the restaurant's history.
