Interstate 19X LE Outland Edition: An AIR Lab Original
A perfect example of this concept in action is the Airstream Interstate 19X LE Outland Edition. Building on the popular Interstate 19X platform (known for its compact agility and off-road prowess), the Outland Edition upgrades the experience with even more comfort, versatility, and overlanding performance. It takes the Interstate 19X and bumps it up a notch (or two). To start: It has a 2-inch lift and an off-road wheel package to enable off-grid, off-pavement, and off-the-charts adventures in the backcountry.
But also, the Outland Edition is a party van unlike anything that’s ever hit the road. It’s perfect for music festivals, art openings, mountain bike rallies, car shows, tailgating, and après-ski. It’s a recreational vehicle that will get people grooving. It’s the heart of the celebration, and everyone is invited.
Fun, Feature-Filled, and the Life of the Mobile Party
The Outland Edition is packed with personality, and never a dull moment. Think of it as your extroverted friend who is nonstop fun. At just 19 feet in length, it can navigate city streets or backroads with ease. And once you’re there, unique features expand the living space and blend the indoors and outdoors – like a 270-degree batwing awning that wraps around the curbside and rear, creating a roomy shaded zone for lounging, cooking, or gathering.
The build also features multi-color undercarriage LEDs to set the playful vibe. Whether you’re cruising city blocks, celebrating after winning the big game, or parked at the foot of the slopes, all eyes will be on the Outland Edition when darkness falls and the van exterior lights up.
And with a Sony DSX-GS80 receiver, four 8-inch REV Black V2 speakers, and a 400W subwoofer, you might just skip the show and throw your own. Turn it up to 11 and enjoy smooth, crisp audio that will get feet moving and raise spirits high. Serenade the crickets with Beethoven or fill the parking lot with the team’s fight song: Either way, it’ll be the best sounding version you’ve ever heard.

But with off-grid functionality at its heart, the Outland Edition is well-equipped for a variety of uses. You can camp deep in the backcountry in a setting that’s the most beautiful place in the world, disconnect, push the bed out, and relax. But you can also tailgate the big game, DJ an after-party, or hang with your ski buddies after the last run down the slope. It’s a little bit of choose your own adventure, because everything you need is right there.
The optional E1 Power Package upgrade on the Outland Edition offers an enhanced off-grid experience for travelers who want a propane-free setup and advanced energy management. That means 9-12 hours of estimated off-grid air-conditioning run time. (Note: Runtime varies with conditions, weather, and location). So, you can sleep under the stars, or enjoy the cool, quiet indoors to your heart’s content.
