Irish in Your Airstream

Whether or not you are cruising through Ireland this St. Patrick’s Day, there are plenty of fun things to do and see stateside. Pull out your green, make sure you don’t get pinched and if you’re really in the spirit, make sure to stop by an Irish pub! Here are our favorite ways to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day from an Airstream!

Irish in the Kitchen

If family and friends are traveling with you, St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect opportunity to host a little party and try some new food. Test your hand at making corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie and make sure to throw in some Irish potatoes. Whether you’re eating traditional Irish food or making some green chocolate chip cookies, it’s bound to be a good time.

Take an Irish Jig to the Road

If you’re in the mood to sing and dance, Celtic, folk or traditional Irish pub songs might be just what you need. You can always play an Irish jig while you’re driving down the road with your Airstream to help everyone get in the spirit. If you’re really feeling the music, don’t hesitate to pull over the car, grab your dance partner and whip out your favorite steps. Don’t forget to snap a picture!

Pick a City to go Irish

Whether you’re driving on the east coast, the west coast or somewhere in between, there are fabulously fun cities you can stop in to continue the celebration.  Chicago turns the river green while New York hosts its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade down 5th Avenue. In Savannah, GA, the entire city is draped in green, even the fountains! And no matter where you are, you can always find a local Irish pub to taste the green beer. You can find bagpipers, dancers, musicians, families and friends celebrating just about anywhere throughout the country, so feel free to join in!

If you’re driving down the road wearing a leprechaun outfit or simply accessorizing with a small shamrock pin, enjoy the day and see it as just another reason to celebrate with the ones you love.
