David Kowalski, founder of Atlanta-based Brick + Mortar, has a nose for creating inspired candles that are evocative of places and feelings. His artisan, hand-poured candles are aimed at producing delightful scents – and a tinge of nostalgia for the great outdoors.
If you have memories of running through grassy meadows as a kid, try the Fields candle, replete with bright notes of basil and lime, and cut with the sweetness of geranium. With the Forest candle, you get a fragrance mélange of fresh rosemary, eucalyptus and peppermint, harkening back to the days of exploring moss-lined, herbal-scented woodlands. The Campfire candle is a smoky-sweet reminder of your crackling outdoor fire pit, with notes of cedarwood and soft vanilla.
