F is for Fireworks

Get your grills and lawn chairs ready because the Fourth of July is almost here! This Friday, we are celebrating the amazing country we call home, and nothing says “America” like a good barbecue, family reunions and, of course, fireworks!

It’s no surprise that many of our country’s big cities are the best places to catch amazing light displays. Here are some of the top cities to get your fireworks fix:

  • Great ready for double the fireworks as you experience Washington D.C.’s amazing show of lights both in person and mirrored in the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool. The nation’s capital is full of celebration with many viewing locations and plenty of patriotic Americans flooding the streets.
  • New York City is known as the city that never sleeps, which will surely ring true as fireworks are launched from the Brooklyn Bridge for the 38th annual Macy’s Fourth of July celebration. Millions of people will gather by the East River to celebrate this special night.
  • Boston has also gained fame for its fireworks display that draws over a half million people to Charles River each year. The extensive light show is accompanied by the annual Boston Pops concert and promises to be quite the display of American pride.
  • Philadelphia, the home of the Liberty Bell, offers an amazing backdrop for the fireworks at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. While you are there, enjoy some amazing musical performances and celebrations that continue throughout the weekend.
  • Chicago offers many different places to view the fireworks, including the fan-favorite Navy Pier! Synchronized music and views of fireworks over the shoreline make for a great Fourth of July party.

We at Airstream are so thankful for the freedom to Live Riveted, and we want to make sure you have your own adventures this Independence Day! So wherever you travel this weekend, we hope it’s filled with family, friends and plenty of excitement. Happy Fourth of July from everyone at Airstream!
